Pick Up Lucy's Poops

Project Type

Interactive

Date

April 2025

Role

Designer

Tool

Unity, Womp, Arduino

In this game I introduce you to walk Lucy and pick up her poops with physical sensors, a flex sensor and joystick, while facing the challenge of her pulling you away and producing more poops.

It's challenging but also a cute adventure that shows how she's such a cute pain in the ass!

Character Design -- Lucy the Lu Dog

I use Womp to create the 3D model of Lucy.

Two main key features about Lucy is her sugar face(whitening hair) and her purple-blue collar.

To fit the cute theme of the game I made her look extra round, cute and harmless.

Cube to Lucy.obj

I started developing the game with a simple cube as Lucy so I can get through the system/logic of the game without the complexity of importing a mode. Then when I imported Lucy, she was upside down so I put her under an empty game object to correct her rotation under it.

The leash

The purple-blue leash is not just a decorative object but also an indicator for the player to know where Lucy is at when after they got distracted with picking up poops.

The poop

While sphere is the easiest to create, it also matches with Lu's round-cute aesthetics and I like that the simple round shape makes it feel less gross.

Simple background to a forest

After developing the interaction with Lucy, I found out that it's hard to tell the force direction or if it's the player moving or Lucy pulling if my game background was so plain with no objects hinting the change of the direction.

Clean up the poops quickly if you don't want to get drowned in them!
